Idol group JYJ member Kim Jaejoong held his solo concert in Nanjing, China, and revealed that “I’ll probably get married at about 38.”
Jaejoong held his solo concert “Your, My and Mine in Nanjing”at Nanjing’s Olympic Sports Center on 6 March 2013.
On this day, through stages such as a mini-talk, quiz show and other exciting events, Jaejoong came closer to the hearts of his fans. When asked “When will you get married?” he replied “Around 38,” and also “Compared to someone who is too skinny, I prefer someone a little chubby” and received loud cheers from the fans.
Following that was the cooking corner, where Jaejoong made rabokki (Dukkbokki with ramen added to it) together with the fans, and then performed the song “Kiss B” which is found in his repackaged album. The final program in the fanmeeting was a paparazzi corner, revealing unpublished photos of Jaejoong and his unstoppable charms.
At the start of the mini-concert, Jaejoong appeared transformed as a rocker, as the passion continued to take over the hall. Jaejoong performed his first solo song to be revealed from his mini album “One Kiss” in a glamorous stage, then continued with songs from older singers such as “I Loved You”, “For You”, “Always Yours” and other rock ballads. He performed “I’ll Protect You” with the fans, and they showed their support for Jaejoong by singing along in perfect Korean as a group.
Jaejoong has been holding his Asia Tour starting with Ilsan in January, continuing with Thailand, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Nanjing and continuing with Taiwan on 13th April.

JYJ Tokyo Dome Concert Rakes in 20 Billion, Live Broadcast In 113 Japanese Theaters For Devoted Fans
WITH THE MERCHANDISE AND TICKET SALES ALONE, JYJ HAS BROUGHT IN ROUGHLY 20 BILLION WON. IN ADDITION, THEIR CONCERT WAS BROADCAST LIVE IN OVER 113 THEATERS ALL
K-Pop fans all over Japan are calling it 'The Return of the King.' On April 2, in the heart of Japan,JYJ opened their concert 'The Return of the JYJ' at the Tokyo Dome for the first time in approximately 3 years and closed the three day long concert with great success.
According to JYJ's agency, C-JeS Entertainment, there were over 300,000 pre-orders for tickets to the concert. 150,000 people were able to obtain tickets from amongst this number through a random drawing. Needless to say, tickets quickly sold out.
The price of a ticket was 10,500 yen. Going by the exchange rate on April 4th, that amount translates to about 130,000 won (approximately 115 USD). Based on ticket sales alone, JYJ raked in about 19.5 billion won. Merchandise such as towel, t-shirt, and glow-stick sets sold for 100,000 won. Relatively, individual more inexpensive items sold like hot cakes. Starting from 6am, fans crowded around the vicinity of the Tokyo Dome and spent their time buying JYJ merchandise.
Combining all these sales together, JYJ must have brought in over 20 billion won from their Tokyo Dome concert. The net profit is a secret. "Considering overall costs such as the personnel expenses for the Japanese production agency we used, we aren't sure yet how much the profit-loss calculation will be," said an agent from C-JeS Entertainment, with few words.
What about the 300,000 who had wanted to pre-order tickets but were unable to obtain them? For these fans, the last day of the concert was broadcast live in various movie theatre chains throughout Japan. The movie theatres included 113 theatres nationwide such as Japan's premier movie theatres Thoho Cinema and Warner Mycal.
"The truth is, as the Hallyu wave cools down little by little, Korean movie showtimes had been pushed to the back time slots, whether early in the morning or late at night. But extraordinarily, the JYJ concert was broadcast live during the evening at a prime time," claimed the C-JeS Entertainment agent. "By this alone, we can see how big JYJ's popularity is in Japan."
The fans' welcoming was also very warm. "I waited for three years with a bit of anxiety," said Chieko (age 26, F), a local fan at the concert who was deeply moved. "Watching the performance today, I feel that the three year wait was entirely worth it. JYJ is extraordinary. I always told myself that if I waited, I would be able to see them. I missed them so much. I'm so happy to be able to see them again at Tokyo Dome, and so thankful."
Aya (29, F) was also moved. "Just last year, I went to Korea two times to see JYJ," she said extremely pleased. " Seeing JYJ in Japan again is just entirely different than going to their concert. I'm so thankful they didn't give up, and we are so glad that we waited together. This amount of feeling and devotion exchanged between artist and fan is unrivaled."

JYJ Tokyo Dome Performance Sparks TVXQ Retrospection, 'The Return Of The King?'
JYJ PUTS ON A SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE AT TOKYO DOME, INVOKING ALL THE FOUR SEASONS AND RETROSPECTION INTO THE PAST.
This past Wednesday, JYJ gave the gift of the four seasons to an audience of over 150,000.
On Thursday afternoon, JYJ put on an extraordinary opening for their 2013 concert, 'The Return of the JYJ' at Japan's Tokyo Dome.
The concert offered a stage to display simultaneously each individual member's charms and the band's overall appeal, as well as to witness the quintessential warm devotion between artist and fan.
At the concert, JYJ showcased 14 solo songs as well as 12 group songs, showing their audience both their individual and collective charm. Their first time returning to this venue in three years due to their long break from the music scene, performances were held over three days with each day bringing an audience of 50,000 and a total of up to 150,000 attendees. Surely, these numbers attest to the warm relationship between fan and artist.
When the members introduced themselves, they were met with warm cheers and waves of red from the audience. From the beginning until the end, the fans who were standing continuously chanted 'JYJ.' Surely the group members must have been more than happy to accept the cheers and warm love.
Beginning with 'Breath' and 'Lullaby,' songs from Kim Joon Soo's first solo album 'Tarantallegra,' JYJ kicked off the opening of the concert with a sexy dance choreography using canes to show off their moves.
Kim Jae Joong drove the crowd wild performing songs from his recently released first solo album, 'Y.' The stage was practically brimming with dancers for his performance of 'Only love,' and fans went wild for the performances of 'I,' 'One,' and 'All Alone.'
Telling his Japanese fans that the next song he would sing was originally by an artist he admires, Park Yoo Chun sang a cover of Kim Dong Ryul's, 'An Old Song.' He then performed 'Walking With Her In Spring,' a new single which he himself composed and unveiled for the first time at this concert. The song belongs to the Brit-Pop genre and was meant to show fans gratitude for their long wait. Everything about the lyrics and melody had an air of the vibrancy and renewing qualities of Spring and a feeling of welcoming it, although Park Yoo Chun's own unique warmth was sufficient for that.
The height of the performance was reached with Kim Jae Joong's 'I,' 'Mine,' and Kim Joon Soo's 'Tarantallegra.' The following songs, JYJ's 'In Heaven,' 'The Boy's Letter,' and 'Get out,' showcased the group's perfect harmony and devotion to their fans, all in all leaving one with the energy of a magnificent performance.
In addition, with 'You're' and 'Found You,' JYJ gave fans gifts of signed balls and through a car parade, fans were able to get a step closer to and meet with JYJ.
JYJ grabbed attention with their showcase of several selections sung in Japanese. It had been 4 years since they had performed for their Japanese fans. Park Yoo Chun for his performance of 'Friend,' appeared on center stage sitting at a grand piano, and nearly took fans' breaths away with his passionate singing of the sad tune.
Kim Jae Joong garnered cheers with a performance of a popular anime OST by Nakashima Mika, 'Glamorous Sky,' accompanied by a live band. The song particularly caught attention since its original composer, Hyde, is a figure of living rock history in Japan, and he came for the performance.
The last two performances garnered the most focus and attention, due to the fact that JYJ had selected two pieces with special meaning - Tokunaga Hideaki's 'Rainy Blue' and 'Autumn Leaves.' 'Rainy Blue' has particular importance because it is a song that JYJ sang as both JYJ at Tokyo Dome as well as when they used to perform as TVXQ. JYJ had previously told reporters at a press conference, "We decided we would sing 'Rainy Blue' at Tokyo Dome because the performance would be the first time in four years that the three of us would be together." They further explained, "We thought, 'Let's try returning to our mindset back then.' It's a matter of retrospection and looking back on the past, and the song also holds a lot of dear memories."
The selection of the last performance, 'Autumn Leaves,' also held special meaning, conveying a message similar to the lyrics of the song - 'Our new beginning after the flowers have fallen' - letting everyone know of JYJ's new beginning.
'The Return of the JYJ,' showcasing 26 songs for about 3 hours straight, with eye-catching performances, has certainly shown fans the dedication and hard work that goes into JYJ's fame and reputation.
The concert was also filled with a unique charm of the four seasons: from Park Yoo Chun and his expressions of warmness and Spring on a stage set up in his characteristic sophisticated manner, to Kim Joon Soo using his whole body dancing to radiate his hot summer enthusiasm from the top of the stage, to JYJ and the passing season of 'Autumn Leaves' and hopeful renewal, and even the cool winter charisma of Kim Jae Joong. From Spring to Winter, no one can deny that this differentiated performance is one that could only have been done by JYJ.
The opening and ending images of the performance were of a wind-up clock and clock hand. Although 4 years have passed by, time will continue to flow on - from the performance given today to the performances to be given tomorrow. Although the realities one confronts in the present may be difficult, like their ending song lyrics - 'Our new beginning after the flowers have fallen'- one must first go through ordeals before enjoying the warmth of Spring. The clocks watch JYJ's path to Spring.
With the attendance number for the JYJ concert exceeding the daily maximum capacity of 50,000 with an early sell-out queue, over the three days of the concert, there were about 150,000 attendees. Due to a flood of requests online from over 300,000 fans who weren't able to make the concert in person, the last performance was broadcast live at around 100 theatres throughout Japan.

YJ Tokyo Dome Concert: Why Did JYJ Sing A TVXQ Song Despite SM Entertainment Ban?
DESPITE BEING LEGALLY RESTRICTED BY SM ENTERTAINMENT FROM SINGING ANY SONGS THEY HAD PERFORMED AS TVXQ, WHY DID JYJ PERFORM 'RAINY BLUE' AT THEIR TOKYO DOME
JYJ (composed of Kim Joon Soo, Kim Jae Joong, Park Yoo Chun) has garnered attention after choosing to perform a song that they had first released during their time as TVXQ.
Beginning April 2 until the 4th, over three days, JYJ opened their Tokyo Dome performance, titled, 'The Return of the JYJ in Tokyo.'
During this performance, JYJ sang 'Rainy Blue,' a song which they had first released in Japan in 2009 when they were performing as TVXQ. This song was chosen as the title song for the concert, despite JYJ having stated several times, "We won't be singing any songs that we sang as TVXQ."
JYJ, as former 5-member group TVXQ, had released 30 album singles as well as 3 albums during their run in Japan, releasing even more songs there than in Korea. After leaving SM Entertainment, JYJ was officially restricted from singing any songs they had performed during their run as TVXQ. JYJ was only able to sing 'Rainy Blue' because it was not an original song of TVXQ and thus the copyrights did not belong to SM Entertainment. The song actually belongs to famous Japanese singer, Tukunaga Hideaki, and was remade by TVXQ.
On the last day of the concert, Kim Jae Joong met with reporters after the performance and explained their reasons for selecting the song. "We chose it as a way to look back on our past memories and recollections," he said. "The song holds particular significance for us - we three who have come together for the first time in four years at this venue. It's a matter of retrospection and looking back on the past, and it is a song that holds a lot of dear memories for us."
Kim Jae Joong apparently had told everyone that on the last day of the performance, "We must sing this song, all three of us together."
This Tokyo Dome performance garnered an audience of overall 150,000 people over the three day concert.

[TRANS] 130405 JYJ Earn 20 Billion Won In One Go… Invite Seol Gyung Goo’s Daughter To Their Concert
They called it ‘The return of the kings’. From the 2nd till the 4th, JYJ held their successful ‘The Return of the JYJ’ concerts at Tokyo Dome, ‘the heart of Japan’.
According to C-JeS Entertainment, 300,000 people applied for tickets before reservations began. Only 150,000 tickets were given out, with the concert selling out instantly.
- 150,000 seats costing 130,000 Won sell out… MD goods ‘sell like hotcakes’
The cost of one ticket was 10,500 Yen. When this is converted to Korean currency, each ticket costs approximately 130,000 Won. If we take this into consideration, this means that JYJ earned 19.5 billion Won in ticket sales alone. MD goods were sold in sets of towels, t-shirts and fan-lights, costing 100,000 Won. Even the goods that were sold separately at cheaper prices sold out like hotcakes. Fans gathered near Tokyo Dome from 6am to purchase the goods.
Adding all of this revenue together, we can approximate JYJ’s sales for their Tokyo Dome to be over 20 billion Won. The real profit of the event is a mystery. A representative of C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We have to factor in the cost of renting the venue, wages, and paying the Japanese concert management company we hired. So we aren’t sure what the real profit of the concert will be.”
- Seol Gyung Goo, asks for a ticket for his daughter
On the second day of JYJ’s concerts, a special guest arrived at Tokyo Dome. It was Seol Gyung Goo’s ex-wife and daughter. According to a representative, they went to JYJ’s concert together.
Seol Gyung Goo recently called C-JeS Entertainment’s CEO Baek Chang Joo and personally asked for a concert ticket for his daughter, who is a JYJ fan. Thanks to his daughter, Seol Gyung Goo has become close friends with CEO Baek.
During the episode of SBS’ ‘Healing Camp’ that aired on the 1st, Seol Gyung Goo revealed that his daughter was a fan of JYJ. During the show, he stated, “My daughter is now a high school student as is a big fan of JYJ. Whenever JYJ move around, I get nervous. I wish they’d just stay in Seoul.” He also shot down rumors that he had abandoned his daughter as he added, “I wanted to get to know JYJ, so we’ve met outside of work and we watched ‘Tower’ together during the movie premier,” and “I’m sorry to my daughter. I feel a sense of guilt. But I’m getting along well with her.”
- Aired live in 113 cinemas… Fans were ‘So proud’
JYJ’s last concert was screened live in various cinemas across Japan for fans who were unable to get tickets. The concert was shown in 113 cinemas in Japan, including Japan’s biggest cinemas TOHO Cinema and Warner Mycal Cinema.
A representative of C-JeS Entertainment stated, “The Hallyu Wave was died down a little so most Korean films are shown early in the morning or late at night, but JYJ’s concert was aired live during the prime time slot,” and “Even this proves just how popular JYJ are in Japan.”
The reception from fans was equally explosive. Chieko (26, female) stated, “The past three years filled me with a sense of dread. But today’s concert makes those past three years so worth it. Of course, because it was JYJ. I always told myself that if I waited, I would be able to see them again. I missed them. I’m so happy and grateful to have seem them at Tokyo Dome again.”
Aya (29, female) gushed, “I went to Korea twice last year to see JYJ. Being able to see JYJ in Japan again means something completely different from just seeing them at a concert. I’m thankful that they never gave up, and I’m proud of all of us for waiting for them. I’m sure that the connection we have is something no other artiste has with his or her fans.”
