Only a few more than 200 tickets left for the primier show in Santiago this Friday at the Caupolicán Theater. They want to try native food and come with five stylists.
With both VIP and floor sections sold out (only about 300 tickets left for their show in Caupolicán Theater), the debut of Korean group JYJ in Chile confirms the great media frenzy that this genre of music have achieved in distant countries as US, Japan, Chile and Peru, their last stop on their tour in Latin America.
They reached a new peak last year when the trio decided to partner with U.S. producers Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins, to record their debut album “The Beginning”. The first single “Ayyy Girl” was produced by West, who in addition lent his voice to the song as did spoken word artist Malik “The Poet” Yusef.
Yesterday, Park Yoochun, a member of the group, published via Twitter a picture of himself and fellow member, Kim Junsu, on the plane that brings them to our country. “We will have a good trip,” he wrote.
To the delight of their fans, it was announced that for the end of their world tour, they will dance a remix version of “Get out,” the single of his latest musical album. For this reason, they are accompanied by six dancers and five stylists that will be in charge of their looks. Another interesting note is that they have asked for a Chilean chef to cook traditional dishes from the country for their meals, as well as a Korean chef to make them feel at home, miles away, with their native dishes.
KPop Phenomenon
Without even having received the arrival of an artist from that country, Korean music has caused a stir in Chile (perviously, in 2008, Korean musician Seo Taiji came to record a video clip). Several national radio stations have in their programming Korean artists, several of which have reached the top of the charts. Quick phenomenon.
